However, all student files are subject to confidential review by our accrediting body, ACCET, the New York State Education Department, and, in the case of F1 visa holders, the Department of Homeland Security. If you apply or have applied to be a host family, we will contact the references you provided to us. In addition, if your family is accepted into our homestay program and we place a student / student(s) in your home, we will share the information you have given us with the student(s) placed there prior to their arrival.   My name is Kim and I am 19 years old, from Germany. The reason I picked GEOS as my language school was because I wanted to perfect my English skills in a friendly and nurturing environment. The students here are very fun, dedicated and diverse group, hailing from countries all around the world, including: Japan, Korea, Turkey, Thailand, China, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Italy, France and Germany. Being in Los Angeles, there is always something fun to do or interesting to see close by like Hollywood, Disneyland, beaches and Las Vegas, just to name a few.
